My journey through the world of wine, as told by Clowns in the Rain, is a unique narrative that continues to shape my vision of the global wine industry, particularly in the Yarra Valley. This journey serves as a profound inspiration for me, especially as I focus on crafting exquisite Pinot Noir from our Single Vineyard. I aim to convey these inspirations to my customers through the grapes I source and nurture. The wines of Clowns in the Rain not only celebrate the pure expressions of varietals but also reflect the regions they come from, making each wine tasting an exceptional experience.

Vintage 2023 - Current Release

This Pinot Noir is a bright and vibrant expression of Yarra Valley winemaking, showcasing its full life and character. The wine's colour is best described as Venetian Red. On the nose, you’ll enjoy an organic coexistence of cranberry, cherry, and raspberry, complemented by roses, fresh ground herbs, and a hint of mint. On the palate, this single vineyard wine reveals a delicate balance of fresh red berry assortment, a savoury mid-palate, and a long, crisp finish.

PAIRING

Enjoy this Pinot Noir with baked ocean trout and mushrooms, served alongside a radicchio and hazelnut salad, as suggested by Roberta Muir (MA Gastronomy).
